I’m going away for a week in the new year. How much am I allowed to purchase while away without having to pay duty when I come back to Canada?

    I suggest you check out the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) website at: http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/publications/pub/bsf5056-eng.html

    The CBSA site features a detailed list and amounts of what you can and cannot bring into Canada.
